Scholarships

Teamsters offer a variety of annual scholarships to further support the futures of our Teamster families.  Applications will be updated and posted every year for applicant requirements and any additional information.  Here’s a list of different scholarships that our members’ dependents may apply for.

Local 315 offers $2,000 scholarships to 5 lucky 315 members or children currently enrolled as full-time students in accredited colleges, or high school senior children of members applying to two-year or four-year college are eligible to apply.

James R. Hoffa Memorial Scholarship offers two Academic Scholarships, one (1) $10,000 over 4 years at $1,250 per semester, or one (1) $1,000 payment.

A Training and Vocational Programs Scholarship is an essay contest, winners are awarded up to $2,000, depending on financial need. Applicants must apply scholarship to an accredited training or vocational non-baccalaureate program at a community college, or other training institution, within the United States, Puerto Rico or Canada.  Training or vocational programs must be related to work in a Teamster-represented industry, class or craft.

Joint Council 7 offers their Harry Polland/Robert Morales Scholarship of $1,000. Children or grandchildren of Joint Council members are eligible to apply. Due July 1, 2023.

California Teamsters Hispanic Caucus awards scholarships to high school senior children of active Teamsters who is up-to-date with dues are eligible to apply.
