Maintenance Recovery Facility workers at Napa Recycling and Waste Services unanimously ratified their contract on October 24, 2023. The members were excited to vote on a tentative agreement, negotiated by Local 315 Business Agent Dustin Baumbach, that added more paid holidays, more vacation time, and a move to one of the best Teamsters medical plans available, where the employer will pick up the full cost as well as maintenance of benefits. Additionally, they will each experience a nearly 45% increase in wages over five years, much of which is front loaded.
Five years ago the group was excited to add Western Conference of Teamsters Pension to the contract with fair increases, but this time they are improving contributions by 165% over the life of the contract.
